L.A. Wedding!

A friend of mine recently got invited to an L.A. Wedding. It’s going to be in August and will be outside. Although she already owns quite a few pretty dresses, mostly from White House | Black Market. She wanted to go bright, bold and a little flashy for this wedding without spending a fortune of course.

So we were on the hunt, for dresses and shoes. We spent time in a lot of different stores, but as we all know, either the size fits or the price is right….never both.

We finally got lucky at JC Penney. They had a great selection of dresses, and they were on sale!

So here are the winners:

So we eventually ended up buying two dresses. The first being the one of the left and the other dress was a hybrid of the two pictures on the right. Of course white at a wedding is a no-no…so the dress we bought was a similar design in coral with the black trim. (Sorry can’t seem to find the picture online!)

Now for the shoes…..we must’ve tried on quite a few shoes at both JC Penney and Macys. The ultimate winner was a pair of embellished Anne Klein wedges from Macys. Moreover, an outside wedding would mean having to walk on grass….and we all know how unpleasant that is in heels…so a pair of wedges would be a great choice for this purpose!

Overall, we spent a total of about ~$150 on our outfit…including both dresses! 🙂

How do you think we did? Do you have any weddings coming up? If so, what do you plan on wearing? Keep us posted.
