This is going to be a post completely off the beaten track. Over the last year, I have developed an immense appreciation for wine. what with all the research about reservatrol and such. In fact, since I don’t have a cellar or anything like that, when I buy wine, I place them in my closet, along with my dresses, bags, shoes and fashion finds. My first few wines were definitely the cheapest things I could find at the grocery, until I discovered a few online websites. This is not to say the wine here is better because its more expensive. Sometimes, they are AS expensive as the ones I’d purchase at the grocery, but it’s more of an educational experience.
So I finally received my exchanged Jewelmint Serpentine necklace yesterday (customer service was super prompt at processing it!). Anyways, I had a credit for Jewelmint that I decided to spend on this necklace I had been lusting after for a while. I RARELY (almost never) wear gold jewelry. I am more of a silver/antiqued gold if anything type of gal. So the primary reason I picked it is because it has the silver strand. I cannot be happier with my purchase. I wore it to lab today with my Stylemint Filmore t-shirt and received multiple compliments on the necklace. (Ignore the crazy instruments all around me)
I would like to introduce you to another exciting new designer-fashion-for-less website – MYHABIT. This is actually an offshoot of Amazon.com (and I love using Amazon to shop for… well pretty much everything!). Although at first glance you might think, oh boy, yet another designer-fashion-for-less website. But hold on, let me tell you exactly how its different!
As promised (what seems like an eon ago…) we have our first (of many) giveaway of handcrafted goodies from India! The first in the series is this bracelet and earring. I personally picked the earrings up when I was in Bangalore, Karnataka. The bracelet is from Kolkata, India. One lucky winner will possess both of these. I personally think the earrings would look lovely with a white maxi dress, it has a very ethnic chic look to it! (I would not give these away if I didn’t have to!) The bracelet looks great as something for everyday wear as well as with semi-formal dresses.

Let me start out by apologizing for the lack of posts. I just got back from India and have been adjusting to the timezone ever since! However, I would like to post an interview I did with my favorite hairstylist – Bridgette Jones. I posted about her doing my hair cut, highlights, and how to maintain highlights. She has been in the haircare industry for VERY long and she is a celebrity stylist for a lot of Indian personalities. Additionally, she is originally from London – so her experience with hair is fairly global. As far as skincare and makeup goes, she is a professional make up artist and consults for celebrities and weddings all over India (and beyond). Despite being so busy, I am truly grateful that she had the time to answer these questions for me!
