Though it didn’t take me too long to jump on the Jewelmint train, it did take me a little time to make my first purchase….I’d blame my tight graduate student budget! 😦
So here’s my review of my first Jewelmint purchase….

Well with all the soaring temperatures I realized I needed a break from pants and jeans. So, I was finally able to go out and get one for myself! 🙂
The first one I found was from TJ Maxx. I really love shopping at TJ Maxx. Their prices are definitely very competitive for the different brands available. Earlier this year I was able to nab a gorgeous snakeskin print Jessica Simpson hobo bag that was originally $108 for $30! 🙂
I don’t have an actual picture of the one from TJ Maxx, but it is very close to this, except it is a teal shade all over:

It’s a nail trend that was initially seen on Hollywood starlets in the 20s. But it’s definitely making a huge comeback. Here are some celebrities sporting this manicure:
I’d been wearing bright nail colors for quite some time…but lately I have been wearing a lot of different nude shades. One of the reasons might be a recent manicure post by Jen (LooksforLess) 🙂 She did a simple yet gorgeous manicure with a nude base and added a magical touch to it with a golden glitter top coat.
So, inspired by her manicure, I tried it with a little twist…
I am in love with a recent purchase from a Hautelook Matix sale. Now I admit I had no clue this brand even existed… but a lot of the time Hautelook-type websites introduce me to new brands. I saw the dress on sale and sat patiently hitting refresh for the correct size (S, for me) to become available. When I received the dress I figured this was not going to hug any curves on my body, hehe. So my belt came to the rescue. I used a wide black belt to cinch it in at the waist and here are the results:
